2. What does communication mean to me?
- clear and concise content
- interesting information
- facial expressions that go with the dialogue
- being genuine about what you're saying
- taking your audience into consideration
I think you touched upon most of the important points of communication. I do have a question, however, on what being genuine really means. Does it mean that we have to be sincere or honest? What is the purpose of being genuine? Just to play a devil's advocate, I feel that being genuine is countercultural these days. We learn how to sell ourselves and our arguments rather than regard sincerity. It's interesting how communication has turned out to be so selfish.
